Frequently asked questions
Do you have a storefront I can walk into?
No. Covenant Computers & IT works by appointment and house call rather than from a public storefront. That keeps overhead low, which means more competitive pricing for you.
How much will my repair cost?
It depends on the problem, so we start with a diagnosis. A diagnostic fee may apply, and it’s non-refundable because it covers the technician’s time and testing. You then get a written estimate before any repair work. If we find more along the way, we contact you for approval before going past the estimate. Fees and estimates
How long does a custom build take?
Most builds are finished within a few days once the parts are on hand. If a component is backordered, we’ll tell you while quoting, so there are no surprises on timeline.
Will you be able to recover my data?
In most cases, yes — especially accidental deletions, or drives that are failing but still spinning. Physically damaged drives are harder, but you’ll get a straight answer on your odds before we charge for a recovery attempt.
What’s covered under the workmanship warranty?
Unless your invoice says otherwise, our labor is warranted for 90 days. New replacement parts carry the manufacturer’s warranty, and used or refurbished parts carry only the warranty stated on your invoice. The warranty doesn’t cover accidental, liquid or surge damage, malware, software corruption, physical abuse, unauthorized modifications, or damage after pickup. Full warranty terms
What happens to my files while you have my computer?
Technicians access your files only when it’s reasonably necessary to do the work you asked for. Repairs can sometimes cause data loss, so we strongly recommend a full backup before any service — if you can’t make one, tell us before we start. Data privacy · Data loss
